# Provider Referrals and Paid Ads: How They Fit

MedScale doesn't run referral programs. Here is where referrals carry demand that paid can't reach, and what paid still does.

The short answer

MedScale doesn't run referral or provider-partnership programs. Those belong to your clinical team or a partner. We run the paid side: ads, landing pages and tracking. In categories where platform rules limit what an ad can say (ketamine, addiction treatment, parts of mental health, peptides), referrals often carry demand that paid cannot reach, and paid supports them by reaching the patients and referrers who search for you.

How they fit together

## Who runs what, and where paid helps.

Who runs what Your clinicians or a partner run referral relationships. MedScale runs the ads, the landing pages and the tracking.

Where paid helps Search campaigns on your clinic and program names catch the patients a referrer sent, who look you up before they book. Meta ads keep the clinic in view in the area your referrers serve.

Pages that hold up Referring clinicians read your pages before they refer. Ad landing pages with real provider credentials and plain descriptions of the program do double duty.

Measurement Bookings from a referral page that carries our tracking show up on the same report, labelled as referral, so referral and paid are compared on the same number.

What MedScale runs on the paid side

- Search campaigns on clinic and program intent
- Ad landing pages with provider credentials
- Server-side tracking that labels each booking by source
- A Monday report your clinical team can read

The services that do this

- [Paid Ads Search catches the referred patients who look you up first.](https://medscale.health/services/paid-ads)
- [Landing Pages for Healthcare Ads Pages a referring clinician can read and trust.](https://medscale.health/services/websites-and-landing-pages)
- [Paid Media Strategy and Reporting Referral and paid on one report, judged on cost per booking.](https://medscale.health/services/strategic-support)

The report reads the same whichever services you buy, because all of them run on the same server-side tracking. [See how the tiers bundle them](https://medscale.health/pricing).

Common questions

## What people ask us about this.

**Does MedScale run referral programs?**

No. MedScale runs paid acquisition only. Your clinicians or a partner run referral relationships, and MedScale makes sure paid supports them and the report shows both.

**Can we pay practices for referrals?**

No. Paying for patient referrals runs into the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and state equivalents. Have your counsel review any referral program before it starts.

**Which categories lean on referrals most?**

Those where platform rules limit what an ad can say: ketamine and psychedelic therapy, peptides, addiction treatment, and parts of mental health. MedScale's answer comparing Meta, Google and TikTok shows what each platform allows today.

**How is a referral tracked to a patient?**

Referred patients come through a dedicated page or number, and the booking tool records the source at intake. If that page carries MedScale's tracking, referred bookings appear on the Monday report next to paid.

- [How Do Meta, Google and TikTok Differ on Telehealth Advertising?](https://medscale.health/answers/telehealth-advertising-policy-map) As of October 2026, Google gates telehealth ads at the advertiser (LegitScript and Google certification), Meta at the content (plus LegitScript and authorization for prescription drug ads), and TikTok at the product (US prescription ads need proof of FDA approval). MedScale Health, a paid ads agency for US telehealth brands and clinics, plans the channel mix around those three gates and runs TikTok only for non-prescription offers. Compounded drugs cannot meet TikTok's rule, and its prescription ads must target people 18 or older. Reviewed October 24, 2026

MedScale Health, a paid ads agency for US telehealth brands and clinics, builds ketamine campaigns on clinic and consultation intent first and makes no depression cure claims. - [Can You Advertise Peptides on Meta?](https://medscale.health/answers/can-you-advertise-peptides-on-meta) As of October 2026, most peptides sold through telehealth cannot be advertised as products on Meta: its Drugs and Pharmaceuticals policy bars ads for substances Meta judges unsafe and lets only LegitScript-certified, authorized advertisers promote prescription drugs. MedScale Health, a paid ads agency for US telehealth brands and clinics, runs the consult and the clinic for peptide clients and never the compound itself. Most telehealth peptides, BPC-157 included, are not FDA-approved. Reviewed October 24, 2026
