Patient acquisition for TRT telehealth

# TRT and men's health marketing agency for telehealth brands

MedScale Health runs Meta, Google, Microsoft and TikTok ads, creative and landing pages for US TRT and men's health telehealth brands, with every ad pre-checked against health policy before it spends. Testosterone therapy, enclomiphene, hCG and the longevity add-ons, sold with at-home labs and a monthly shipment. High intent, high subscription value, and a controlled substance at the center of the offer.

How it is sold

## The model, before the rules.

A symptom quiz books a lab draw, at home or at a national lab, then a video visit with a prescriber. Testosterone cypionate ships monthly from a partner pharmacy on a subscription that includes follow-up labs; enclomiphene and hCG are the fertility-preserving alternatives, both usually compounded. Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance, so the prescriber, the pharmacy and the visit type are all constrained by state and DEA telemedicine rules, and the subscription is the product being sold.

The offer

## What do you get with MedScale as your TRT and men's health ad agency?

MedScale runs Meta and Google ads, ad creative, landing pages and server-side tracking for TRT and men's health telehealth brands, built on lab-first offers. Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance, so we plan every campaign around its rules: LegitScript and Meta's authorization before a Meta ad names it, Google certification before a telehealth prescriber's ads serve, TikTok's bar on controlled drugs and sexual-performance drugs, and DEA telemedicine flexibilities that run through December 31, 2026. You own the accounts, we work month to month, and you get a written report every Monday.

**Campaigns**

Meta and Google Ads, set up and run inside your own accounts. TikTok where the category allows it.

**Ad creative**

8 ads at launch, statics and motion video. On Growth, 6 new ads every month; on Scale, a new round every week.

**Landing pages**

A page for each offer, written for the ad that sends people to it, on your domain.

**Tracking**

Server-side conversion tracking under a BAA, so no health information reaches the ad platforms.

**Compliance review**

Every ad and page checked against Meta's, Google's and TikTok's health rules before it is submitted, with the rule it clears written down.

**Reporting**

A written report every Monday: spend, patients and cost per patient by campaign, what we changed and why. Calls on your package's schedule.

**Ownership**

Ad accounts, pages, creative and tracking stay in your name. We work as a partner on your accounts.

Your first 30 days

1. Week 1 Access, an audit of your accounts and site, tracking installed, the launch offer and landing page agreed.
2. Week 2 Landing page built, launch ads written and designed, every ad and page pre-checked against the rules, and campaigns live by Day 14.
3. Week 3 Daily checks through the first full week of spend.
4. Week 4 First full Monday report, and the next round of ads planned from what is working.

How it gets restricted

Men's health ads fail review for a personal-attribute hook ("low T?", "not what you used to be?"), for naming testosterone or enclomiphene without certification, and for shirtless imagery. Accounts are lost for two structural reasons: a site that reads like a pharmacy, and enclomiphene or peptides presented as products when neither is an FDA-approved drug. Controlled-substance promotion is a separate flag on every platform, and it lands on the account, not the ad.

Paid outlook Certification first

Policy by platform

Where a platform asks for LegitScript, it means LegitScript certification: the third-party check Meta and Google require before a telehealth business can name a prescription drug in an ad. It certifies the business, its prescribers and its pharmacies. It does not change what a drug is.

**Meta**

Prescription drugs require active LegitScript certification and written authorization, 18+ targeting, and a consult-a-professional disclaimer. The personal-attributes rule forbids implying the reader has a condition, so "testosterone therapy is available" passes and "low testosterone?" does not. Clinic and provider positioning can run without authorization.

**Google Ads**

A TRT telehealth prescriber needs Google's prescription drug services certification, backed by LegitScript in the US, before its prescription-drug ads serve, and the same certification to bid on drug-term keywords. Google decides who is covered from the ads, the site and the app, so consult-led ads that don't name a drug are still judged on the whole site. Certification is the path. Enclomiphene and peptides fall under unapproved pharmaceuticals and cannot be advertised.

**TikTok**

As of October 2026, TikTok may allow FDA-approved US prescription medicine ads with proof of approval, 18+ only, but its drugs policy bars controlled drugs, and testosterone is Schedule III, so treat testosterone ads as not allowed unless TikTok confirms in writing. Compounded testosterone, enclomiphene and peptides can't qualify. Provider and clinic awareness is the reliable format.

What we run

## The plan for TRT and men's health.

**Channels**

Meta on the lab-first offer and the provider from launch. Google Search once certification clears, on clinic, treatment and then drug-term intent. YouTube and TikTok for provider-led awareness that brings men back to search.

**Creative that passes**

The labs, the visit, the follow-up, the price. Providers to camera. No bodies, no before-and-after, no "you". Enclomiphene and hCG are named on the page, never in the ad.

**Landing page**

The program and the lab panel first, medication options second, with the controlled-substance and telemedicine requirements stated in plain language. Certification seal in the footer of every page the ad can land on.

**Tracking**

Server-side events with generic names (lead, qualified, booked, purchase), under a BAA. No names, emails, phone numbers, IP addresses or browser IDs go to the ad platforms. The ad click ID rides a bridge token into the intake platform, so the consult and the prescription land on the campaign that produced them even though the visitor left our page to book.

What we measure

**CPQL**

Cost per qualified lead: lab ordered or intake completed with a state we can serve.

**Consult booked**

Prescriber visit scheduled after labs, attributed to the campaign.

**Rx issued**

Prescription written after the visit, reported from the intake platform.

**90-day retention**

Patients still shipping at month three, by campaign.

Reported weekly by campaign from the tracking installed in the first two weeks. We publish the definitions, not a benchmark, because the number depends on your price, your states and your pharmacy.

Commitments

## What is done by which day.

By day **5**

Policy read of every ad, page and pixel event, with the controlled-substance flags listed separately

By day **14**

Server-side tracking live through labs, visit and prescription

By day **14**

Lab-first campaigns live on Meta; Google live as soon as certification clears

By day **30**

Weekly report on CPQL through Rx issued, by state and campaign

Days count from kickoff. Certification timelines belong to LegitScript and the platforms, so campaigns that need drug terms start on program intent and add them when approval lands.

Results

## Results from the accounts.

Anonymised results from telehealth brands and clinics that run on our tracking. Names are withheld. Results vary by brand, offer and budget.

**Twice the rate to checkout**

A men's telehealth brand ran two routes from its ads in the same weeks. One reached checkout at 2.7%. The other reached it at 1.3%.

TRT and men's health questions

## What brands in this category ask first.

**How much does a TRT marketing agency cost?**

It depends on scope: which platforms you run, how much new creative you need, and how many landing pages your lab and visit offers need. MedScale sets the fee after a free Growth Audit of your ads, site and tracking, so you see the plan and the fee before you commit. MedScale works month to month. Ad spend is separate: you pay Meta and Google directly from your own ad accounts, which stay in your name.

**Can you advertise testosterone on Meta?**

Yes, in two layers. Ads for the clinic, the labs and the visit run without authorization, because Meta exempts ads that only promote telehealth services generally. Naming testosterone needs active LegitScript certification, Meta's authorization, 18+ targeting in the US, Canada or New Zealand, and a disclaimer to consult a licensed health professional. Meta's personal-attributes rule still applies: "testosterone therapy is available" passes, "low T?" does not. MedScale runs TRT on Meta lab-first, with no bodies in the ads.

**Can you advertise testosterone on Google?**

Yes, once a telehealth brand is certified. A telemedicine provider needs LegitScript plus Google's prescription drug services certification before its prescription drug ads serve in the US. Google lets US advertisers name testosterone in ad text and on landing pages without certification, but bidding on keywords that contain it needs certification. Enclomiphene and peptides fall under Google's unapproved pharmaceuticals rule and can't be advertised. MedScale builds TRT search campaigns on clinic and lab intent first, then adds drug-term keywords once certified.

**Can you advertise testosterone on TikTok?**

Not testosterone itself, as of October 2026. TikTok's drugs policy lists controlled drugs among the things ads and landing pages can't promote, and testosterone is Schedule III. Its US prescription exception needs regulator approval and an 18+ audience, and compounded testosterone is compounded, not FDA-approved. A men's health clinic may run 18+ awareness ads about its clinicians, labs and visits, with no drug named and no performance angle, once TikTok confirms the plan in writing. The testosterone offer runs on Meta and Google.

**What does the DEA telemedicine rule mean for TRT ads?**

For now, the model holds. DEA's fourth temporary extension lets registered practitioners prescribe Schedule II to V controlled substances, testosterone included, by telemedicine without an in-person evaluation through December 31, 2026. What comes after depends on what DEA publishes next. So MedScale's ads sell the program, the labs and the clinician, never a prescription with no visit, and MedScale keeps a landing page and intake variant ready for an in-person or hybrid first visit. Your healthcare counsel confirms the prescribing model.

**Can you run ED and hair loss ads for a men's health brand?**

Yes, within each platform's limits. Meta allows ED ads to people 18 and over when they focus on medical efficacy rather than pleasure, and naming sildenafil, tadalafil or finasteride needs LegitScript and Meta's authorization. On Google, an online ED or hair loss service that prescribes is a telemedicine provider and needs certification before its ads serve. TikTok's adult content policy bars ads for sexual-performance drugs, so ED medication stays off TikTok, and cosmetic products can't claim to treat hair loss there.

**Do you guarantee a number of patients?**

No. Patient numbers depend on platform review, auction prices, your offer and how your labs and visits convert, and no one controls all of those. What MedScale does promise: 8 ads at launch, every ad and page checked against platform rules before submission, server-side tracking under a BAA through labs, visit and prescription, and a written report every Monday on what each dollar produced. MedScale works month to month, so you stay because the numbers work.

**Can we advertise enclomiphene?**

Not as a product. Enclomiphene is not an FDA-approved drug, so it sits under the unapproved-pharmaceuticals rule on Google and the unapproved-substances reading on Meta. The ad names the program and the provider; enclomiphene is explained on the page after the click.

**Does testosterone being a controlled substance block certification?**

No, but it adds a review layer. LegitScript examines prescribing and dispensing practices for controlled substances, and the platforms flag controlled-substance promotion separately from ordinary prescription drugs. The creative stays on the program and the labs so that flag never has a reason to fire.

**Our Meta account was disabled for "unsafe substances". What happened?**

Usually peptides or a compounded product on the landing page or in an ad. The rescue is to remove the unapproved products from every page the ad can reach, rebuild the creative around the clinic, and appeal with evidence. An appeal only has a chance once the site changes.

**How do you attribute a sale that happens in our intake platform?**

The click ID is carried into the intake platform in a bridge token, and the consult and prescription events are sent back server-side with that token attached. The campaign gets the patient, not the form fill.

- [Can You Advertise TRT on TikTok?](https://medscale.health/answers/can-you-advertise-trt-on-tiktok) As of October 2026, a TRT brand should plan on no testosterone ads on TikTok, because TikTok's drugs policy bars ads and landing pages that promote controlled drugs, and testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance. MedScale Health, a paid ads agency for US telehealth brands and clinics, uses TikTok for TRT brands only for clinic awareness, after TikTok confirms the plan in writing. MedScale Health, a paid ads agency for US telehealth brands and clinics, plans TRT, ADHD and ketamine ads that hold up whichever way DEA rules. DEA's final special registration rule has been under OMB review since August 25, 2026, with final action listed for November 2026, and as of October 23, 2026 nothing newer is published.
