Patient acquisition for TRT and men's health

TRT & Men's Health Clinics

Testosterone therapy, ED, hair loss, peptides and longevity programs. Men search with intent and convert on a call. The category's problem is not demand; it is creative that gets flagged and attribution that dies at the intake platform.

Where this category loses

Men's health ads fail review for implying a personal attribute ("low T?", "struggling in bed?"), for naming prescription products, and for idealized-body imagery. Accounts get disabled when the site reads as a pharmacy or when peptides are advertised as if they were approved drugs.

Creative and page rules

What clears review for trt & men's health.

Do

  • Lead with the clinic, the provider and what a first visit involves
  • Bid on clinic and treatment intent
  • Carry the click through the booking tool with a bridge token

Don't

  • "Low T?" or sexual-performance hooks
  • Testosterone, ED or hair-loss product names without certification
  • Peptides as a product on any paid platform
  • A landing page that reads like a pharmacy

Policy reality

What each platform allows for trt & men's health.

Positions are the same cells as the Policy Tracker, with how we run each platform for this category underneath. Where a cell names a certification it is LegitScript, the third-party certification Meta and Google require before a pharmacy or telehealth provider can advertise prescription drugs, unless the cell says otherwise.

Meta

CertificationLegitScript
Rejects the ad
  • "Low T?" and sexual-performance personal-attribute hooks
  • Prescription product names
  • Sexualized imagery
Risks the account
  • Pharmacy-style landing pages
  • ED medication sold as a product without certification
Requires
LegitScript certification plus Meta authorization for telehealth or pharmacy positioning that names testosterone, ED or hair-loss prescriptions. Clinic-service positioning runs without it.
How we run it
No personal-attribute hooks, no sexual-health imagery beyond policy, prescription products need LegitScript. Clinic-service positioning with provider-led creative is the reliable structure.

Google Ads

CertificationLegitScript
Rejects the ad
  • Testosterone, ED and hair-loss drug terms without certification
  • Unproven claims
Risks the account
  • Unapproved substances (peptides) in ads
  • Trademark bidding on drug brands
Requires
Google's Healthcare & medicines certification, backed by LegitScript telemedicine certification in the US, to name drugs. Clinic-intent keywords are open.
How we run it
Testosterone, ED medications, and hair-loss prescriptions are restricted drug terms. Clinic and treatment-intent queries ("TRT clinic", "low testosterone treatment") are open. Peptides that are not FDA-approved fall under unapproved pharmaceuticals and cannot be advertised.

TikTok

Restricted
Rejects the ad
Sexual-health products and prescription drugs
Risks the account
Prescription products as the offer
Requires
Awareness content only in most markets. No published US certification path for prescription men's-health products; verify with your rep.
How we run it
Sexual health and prescription products are heavily restricted; treat as an awareness channel for clinic content only.

What we run

The playbook for trt & men's health.

Compliant tracking live across locations
Wk 2
Booked consults attributed
100%
Patient CAC, first quarter
−20–40%

Set at kickoff, reported against weekly, measured by the tracking we install in week one.

Search that owns the symptom-to-clinic path
Treatment and clinic intent across every location, with call tracking that attributes the booked appointment, not the ring.
Meta built on the clinic, not the drug
Provider credibility, program structure, and what a first visit looks like. Pre-cleared against personal-attributes and drugs policies.
Attribution that survives the click-out
Bridge tokens carry the ad click through IntakeQ, Healthie, Jane or your booking tool so the consult lands on the right campaign.

TRT & men's health questions

What clinics ask us first.

Can we advertise peptides alongside TRT?

Not on Meta or Google as a product. Peptides that are not FDA-approved are unapproved pharmaceuticals on both platforms, and advertising them is a common cause of account loss. Peptide programs are grown through organic, email, provider referral and the clinic brand instead, and we build that plan explicitly.

Our multi-location men's health group has one ad account. Should we split it?

Usually one account with location-level campaigns and budgets is right. Splitting accounts multiplies policy exposure and fragments learning. What must be split is attribution: every booked consult tied to its location and campaign.
