Meta
CertificationLegitScript- Rejects the ad
- Before/after or idealized-body imagery
- "tired of the weight?" personal-attribute hooks
- Naming semaglutide or tirzepatide without certification
- Under-18 targeting
- Risks the account
- Landing page that reads like an online pharmacy
- Repeated resubmission of flagged creative
- Pixel events named after the drug
- Requires
- LegitScript certification, then Meta's authorization, before an online pharmacy or telehealth provider can name a prescription drug. Meta's weight-loss policy sends prescription weight loss to that rule. Clinic-service ads that never name the drug run without it.
- How we run it
- Weight-loss ads must target 18+, cannot show before/after or imply inferiority about appearance, and prescription weight-loss defers to the drugs policy (LegitScript for online pharmacies and telehealth). Address the program, never the reader's body.
