Patient acquisition for TRT telehealth
TRT and Men's Health
Testosterone therapy, enclomiphene, hCG and the longevity add-ons, sold with at-home labs and a monthly shipment. High intent, high subscription value, and a controlled substance at the center of the offer.
How it is sold
The model, before the rules.
A symptom quiz books a lab draw, at home or at a national lab, then a video visit with a prescriber. Testosterone cypionate ships monthly from a partner pharmacy on a subscription that includes follow-up labs; enclomiphene and hCG are the fertility-preserving alternatives, both usually compounded. Testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance, so the prescriber, the pharmacy and the visit type are all constrained by state and DEA telemedicine rules, and the subscription is the product being sold.

How it gets restricted
Men's health ads fail review for a personal-attribute hook ("low T?", "not what you used to be?"), for naming testosterone or enclomiphene without certification, and for shirtless imagery. Accounts are lost for two structural reasons: a site that reads like a pharmacy, and enclomiphene or peptides presented as products when neither is an FDA-approved drug. Controlled-substance promotion is a separate flag on every platform, and it lands on the account, not the ad.
Paid outlookCertification first
Policy by platform
Where a platform asks for LegitScript, it means LegitScript certification: the third-party check Meta and Google require before a telehealth business can name a prescription drug in an ad. It certifies the business, its prescribers and its pharmacies. It does not change what a drug is.
- Meta
- Prescription drugs require active LegitScript certification and written authorization, 18+ targeting, and a consult-a-professional disclaimer. The personal-attributes rule forbids implying the reader has a condition, so "testosterone therapy is available" passes and "low testosterone?" does not. Clinic and provider positioning can run without authorization.
- Google Ads
- Prescription drug services certification is required to serve ads and to bid on drug-term keywords. Enclomiphene and peptides fall under unapproved pharmaceuticals and cannot be advertised. Clinic and treatment intent ("TRT online", "testosterone clinic") is open.
- TikTok
- Prescription medicine is not allowed as an ad subject in the US. Sexual-health and men's-health content is reviewed as restricted; provider and clinic awareness only.

What we run
The plan for trt and men's health.
- Channels
- Google Search on clinic and treatment intent, drug terms after certification. Meta on the lab-first offer and the provider. YouTube and TikTok for provider-led education that sends men to organic search.
- Creative that passes
- The labs, the visit, the follow-up, the price. Providers to camera. No bodies, no before-and-after, no "you". Enclomiphene and hCG are named on the page, never in the ad.
- Landing page
- The program and the lab panel first, medication options second, with the controlled-substance and telemedicine requirements stated in plain language. Certification seal in the footer of every page the ad can land on.
- Tracking
- Server-side events with generic names (lead, qualified, booked, purchase) and only hashed identifiers. The ad click ID rides a bridge token into the intake platform, so the consult and the prescription land on the campaign that produced them even though the visitor left our page to book.
What we measure
- CPQL
- Cost per qualified lead: lab ordered or intake completed with a state we can serve.
- Consult booked
- Prescriber visit scheduled after labs, attributed to the campaign.
- Rx issued
- Prescription written after the visit, reported from the intake platform.
- 90-day retention
- Patients still shipping at month three, by campaign.
Reported weekly by campaign from the tracking installed in the first two weeks. We publish the definitions, not a benchmark, because the number depends on your price, your states and your pharmacy.
Commitments
What is done by which day.
Policy read of every ad, page and pixel event, with the controlled-substance flags listed separately
Server-side tracking live through labs, visit and prescription
Lab-first campaigns live on Google and Meta
Weekly report on CPQL through Rx issued, by state and campaign
Days count from kickoff. Certification timelines belong to LegitScript and the platforms, so campaigns that need drug terms start on program intent and add them when approval lands.
TRT and men's health questions
What brands in this category ask first.
Can we advertise enclomiphene?
Not as a product. Enclomiphene is not an FDA-approved drug, so it sits under the unapproved-pharmaceuticals rule on Google and the unapproved-substances reading on Meta. The ad names the program and the provider; enclomiphene is explained on the page after the click.
Does testosterone being a controlled substance block certification?
No, but it adds a review layer. LegitScript examines prescribing and dispensing practices for controlled substances, and the platforms flag controlled-substance promotion separately from ordinary prescription drugs. The creative stays on the program and the labs so that flag never has a reason to fire.
Our Meta account was disabled for "unsafe substances". What happened?
Usually peptides or a compounded product on the landing page or in an ad. The rescue is to remove the unapproved products from every page the ad can reach, rebuild the creative around the clinic, and appeal with evidence. It is fixable when the site changes, and not before.
How do you attribute a sale that happens in our intake platform?
The click ID is carried into the intake platform in a bridge token, and the consult and prescription events are sent back server-side with that token attached. The campaign gets the patient, not the form fill.
Next step
Start with the audit.
We read your live ads, landing pages and pixel against the rules on this page and send back the flags and the plan. If the account is already restricted, the rescue is the faster door.
Growth audit
See where your growth is leaking.
We audit the funnel, the tracking, and the compliance posture, then hand you the roadmap. The people writing it have run the same funnel from the inside. You keep it whether or not we work together.
